Poem of the Day - Be

Be by A.S. Washington

This narrow path seems endless,
The end, marches away as I plod on,
Regardless of the speed, I feel winded,
My eyes glaze over, as they're tired - worn,
Hope is my blanket when I rest,
Even still, hard rain does not cease to pelt,
Drenching my dreams as if I behest,
A drowning from sorrow in my chest,
I could wither and die uprooted,
Though I'd rather stand with resolve,
Thus I'll never admit to my losing,
For in life there's a chance to be absolved,
What shall come, is what shall be,
What is done, is done, so be
