Incomplete Wish by A.S. Washington

Incomplete Wish

Whatever this night brings,
Let the Sun follow the void,
Allow the Blue Birds to sing,
A Song my ears will not avoid,
Let the Wind blow,
Soft and warm,
Upon the seal of my window,
As I rest upon my arms,
Looking out at life,
I can smile in Freedom,
Knowing that Malice and Strife,
Has no plan in leaving,
Whether the seasons change, from rain to heat,
Or if I walk upon cold ice sheets.
